  • Karoo Lamb Consortium

    The Karoo Lamb Consortium is a
    local non-profit made up of Karoo farmers, abattoirs, and retailers who keep the “Karoo Lamb” name real and honest.

    As of 27 October 2023, Karoo Lamb is registered as a South African Geographical Indication - so only lamb born, raised on natural Karoo veld, and processed by verified members gets to wear that seal.
